The internet has made it possible to hear news and opinions from every corner of the world. But the internet also gives us almost unlimited choice, and most of us choose to pay more attention to news and events we already know and care about - usually local events - than those in other countries. In this panel, we will examine the ways the internet and social media have connected - or disconnected - communities around the world into global conversations.
